About PARS
- mo PARS
For over 65 years, the Prisoners Aid Society has been a steadfast source of support for individuals impacted by the criminal justice system. Through decades of dedicated service, we have assisted thousands of people—both those in prison and their families—by offering practical help, advocacy, and a pathway to reintegration and a helping hand in everyday life. Our commitment to dignity, second chances, and community wellbeing has remained constant as we’ve adapted to changing times and needs. Whether it's helping someone find stable housing, reconnect with whānau, or build a new life after release, our work continues to be grounded in compassion, respect, and the belief that everyone deserves hope and support.

Ready to take the next step? We can help you on your journey to rebuild your life.
When someone is sent to prison, the ripple effects can be profound and far-reaching, touching every corner of a family’s life. Loved ones often face emotional stress, financial hardship, disrupted routines, and the heartbreak of separation—particularly for children. Social isolation can deepen as stigma and uncertainty take hold, leaving families unsure of where to turn for help.
PARS is here to provide a steady hand during these difficult times. We offer information, guidance, and connections to other support agencies, helping families access the resources they need to cope, stay connected, and begin to rebuild with dignity and hope.
